Bak/DSOA Audition Prep Workshop: Sundays Nov. 3rd - Dec. 15th. (6 Weeks)

Classes will be held at 1009 North Dixie Highway, West Palm Beach

Summer Youth Conservatory Program 2015 (Ages 8-11, 12-17)


Session I:

Musical Theatre Emphasis (June 8 - July 3)  Culminates in a musical. 

Session II:

Theatre Collective - Singing, dancing & more! (July 13-August 7) 

Culminates in a showcase of student work. 


Camp is Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm

Drop off starts at 8:30am, Pick up goes until 5:30pm.



Students may participate for half a day (morning or afternoon) or full day.

Mornings consist of improvisation, theatre games, audition technique, musical theatre dance, singing, pantomime, clowning, speech & diction, focus exercises, theatre etiquette, theatrical make up classes, ensemble work and our famous improv Olympics! 


Afternoons consist of working on the showcase.  For the acting emphasis, this means working on scenes & monologues one on one with an instructor in a classroom setting.  For the musical theatre emphasis, this means working on the choreography, songs and scenes for the musical. Instructors are Bob Carter, Adriana Zabala, Sarah Kenny, Kathleen Kenny, Nathan Stubbs. 


We break an hour for lunch.  Students may bring a packed lunch (fridge and microwave available) or purchase snack and small lunches at the theatre.  Monday they may order from Burger King and Friday is Jimmy Johns Subs day!

Shakespeare Intensive for Adults - All levels

Taught by Nathan Stubbs

This class will focus on scene work and monologue study.  Students will work one on one with the instructor. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to delve deeper into your work with the Bard, this class is for you. Actors often get so caught up in the language of Shakespeare, that they neglect the basics - Subtext, finding our own moments, character growth.  Get out of your own way and make the language work for you!  

Date: January 7 - March 11 (Wednesdays)

Time: 7:00pm-9:00pm

Location: Lake Worth Studio

Showcase of student work March 14 8:00pm

Cost: $250 for the 10 weeks.  ($35 registration fee if new student to Actors Rep.)
