Instructor: Kim Smith
Kimberly is a writer and actress best known for her short film Mizan, which has been selected in several festivals including Austin Revolution Film Festival, Orlando Urban Film Festival, and the Miami Independent Film Festival. A native of West Palm Beach, FL. she has a B.A. from Florida State University in English Creative Writing and an MFA from Full Sail University also Creative Writing: Writing for Entertainment.
Kimberly started her writing career touring and performing with the spoken word poetry troupe Black on Black Rhyme. Later she published a collection of poems Edge of Light: A Woman’s Soulful Requiem of Love. Other published works include The Mighty 9 Our Journey to Success. Now, she works remotely as a screenwriter on staff at the Coco Network based in Atlanta. Currently, she is also a secondary AICE English Instructor through the University of Cambridge. She loves to teach young writers and give back to the artist community.
