This class will cover the fundamentals of vocal production, physicality, diaphragmatic breathing and clarity of words. An introduction to the elements of diction, with exercises to contribute to the actor’s goal of overall clarity and efficiency in speech will be covered. The course will consist of vocal and physical warm ups, speech and diction exercises and lecture demonstrations. Participants will gain skills to work on their voice and speech skills that will be a foundation for the rest of their career.
This class will be capped at 10 students.

Instructor: Bob Carter
Bob Carter was co-founder and Artistic Director of the original Actor’s Workshop & Repertory Company, which opened in 1980. Under his leadership, the company developed into a critically acclaimed resident theater company in downtown West Palm Beach. Bob has been teaching actors for more than three decades. He continues to work as a professional actor and director.He conducts both private and group acting classes, drawing from all facets of his years in theatre and film.
