Instructor: Emma Harris (They/Them.)
Emma Sue Harris (They/Them) is proudly an Actors’-Rep-grown theatre maker/actor/dramaturg/playwright/jack of trades. After graduating from A. W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts here in WPB, they attended the BFA in Musical Theatre program at The Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University. Most recently, Emma served as co-dramaturg and director for Pride Is Her Prejudice, a modern queer adaptation of Austen’s famous novel. Some of their favorite projects include the currently in development ‘My Own Worst Enemy,’ a queer punk-pop jukebox musical, and the New Works Nite held right here at Actors’ Rep just last year! Emma is also a proud collaborator with The Living Theatre, whose mission taught Emma the lesson that they hope to pass on to their students- that “any play could be the play that starts the revolution. So we must continue making plays.”
