This 2 day musical improv intensive is centered in the joy and fun of spontaneous creation while building your confidence in musical improvisation. We will use musical backing tracks in both workshops! (Intermediate/enthusiastic beginners)
Day #1: Singing at the Top of Your Emotion
While having a moment with your scene partner, your characters connecting or disconnecting, emotions well up for your character. This participatory workshop will help you give voice to those emotional offers through song.
Day #2: Singing in Zoomison
Musical improv doesn’t have to be a solo adventure. Like a good karaoke night, Velvet will lead you through exercises and scenes to help you make and support everyone’s musical offers.
This class will offered online through Zoom. You will receive an invitation link via the email you provide to the online session. Specific directions will be supplied.
