Dear Friend of Actors’ Rep,

This has been a difficult time. Theatres across the country had to close their doors. Some permanently and some are still struggling even as the doors opened but our times and conditions kept changing. Will you donate to ensure Actors’ Rep stays open for the years to come?

For over 20 years, Actors’ Rep has sought to bring change to the community through the transformative power of the performing arts. Audiences, actors, and students like you have come through our doors.

Lillian, a former student, sent us the following letter:

I joined Actors’ Rep when I was 10 years old. I started at their summer camp, and to this day I remember how nervous I was as my mom pulled up. By the end of the first day, I was begging to stay for not only the entire summer, but also for any classes they offered during the school year. I didn’t know it that first day, but Actors’ Rep would become instrumental in not only my adolescence, but also in my adulthood. What I learned that first day, as every student at Actors’ Rep learns, is that Actors’ Rep is a place of safety, growth, and support.

Because of the training and support I received at Actors’ Rep, I was admitted to Bak Middle School of the Arts as well as Dreyfoos High School of the Arts as a theatre major. Because Actors’ Rep gave me the freedom to be truly me, I have confidence when I walk into an interview. Because Actors’ Rep instilled in me hard work, research, and dedication, I am trusted with a large case load. Because Actors’ Rep put its faith in me and let me explore improv, I am comfortable speaking with new people and in front of people in large settings. The training I got at Actors’ Rep has been invaluable in my career, and I will be using those skills every day for the rest of my life.

We are immensely proud of Lillian and her accomplishments. It is because of friends and donors like you that students such as Lillian are able to thrive. We set out to change the community through theatre and found our students following the same path.

A gift to Actors’ Rep ensures students like Lillian can continue to learn and grow as young members of our theatre community.

As with most nonprofits, every year our expenses outweigh the income we take in from classes and performances. We will not stop in our mission. We will continue to work to change lives through theatre.

With your donation, large, small, or in-between, you will help our students, teachers, actors, and staff continue our mission. A donation or pledge provides robust programming, culturally relevant theatre, and life-enriching classes to students of all ages.

Please make a gift of any amount. Your generosity will change lives.

Gratefully,
Bob Carter, Founder and Artistic Director

P.S. A recurring donation makes a sustainable impact all year long. Please consider a monthly gift.
