Nathan Stubbs
Nathan has been an instructor for Actor’s Rep since 2004, teaching Acting and Improvisation for youth and teens, and Shakespeare for teens and adults. He regularly performs with local improv troupes’ P.E., Friends with Benefits (AWRC), Bananas’ Republic (Mod 27), and Business Casual (Improv U). He is a frequent guest in area improv shows and performs at Improv Fests all over Florida. His love for theatre blossomed when he competed in the S.U.U. High School Shakespeare competition where he took 1st place his senior year. He was cast in Tea and Sympathy at the Burt Reynold Institute for Theatre Training and joined their Youth Actors Guild. Education was and is a huge part of his life. He has made it a point to continue learning about/practicing whatever art he is focusing on. Learning Butoh from Jerry Gardner (University of Utah), acting from brilliant teachers too long to list (including Bob Carter), and improv from master teachers such as David Razowsky, Charna Halpern, Tara DeFrancisco, Joe Bill, and Susan Messing. He is also a graduate of I.O. Intensives I and II as well as a student in weekly classes with Kathleen Kenny since 2010. Past favorite roles include Banquo in Butoh Macbeth, Dr. Treves in Elephant Man, Jake Meighan in 27 Wagons Full of Cotton (University of Utah), CC Showers in The Diviners, and Man in Dinner and Destiny (AWRC). He is so proud to be associated with AWRC, an organization that has given him the opportunity to learn, perform, teach, and share his passion with others.
